Good places 
If you ever come back, there is a bikepark of dirt and 4x, about 20km from Barcelona, is one of the bigest in Spain (bike park la poma).
To downhill and freeride, there are one in the Catalan Pyrenees to 1:30 hour drive (the molina bikepark), and two 2 hours to grandvalira and vallnord in Andorra.
